Si la c\u00e1mara dispara en RAW, y eso es justamente lo que utilizamos miles y miles de fot\u00f3grafos a lo ancho y alto del globo, porqu\u00e9 se empe\u00f1an en darnos el histograma del JPEG, incluso cuando disparamos SOLO en RAW?<\/p>\n

\u00a1Si eso no nos sirve! Parece que sigan viviendo en el siglo pasado, cuando las primeras digitales ya ofrec\u00edan el RAW pero s\u00f3lo como una \u00abfunci\u00f3n a\u00f1adida de regalo\u00bb pero casi sin soporte, y con muchas pegas.<\/p>\n

Se\u00f1ores fabricantes, estamos en 2018. Las c\u00e1maras tienen potencia de calculo para mostrar el histograma en RAW incluso en tiempo real (ya no digamos posterior al disparo), y eso es lo que queremos. \u00bfCu\u00e1ntos a\u00f1os m\u00e1s tendremos que seguir esperando para que sea una realidad?<\/p>\n

\u00bfPorque siguen fabricando c\u00e1maras como si fueran de pel\u00edcula, pero con un sensor, y un RAW \u00abde regalo\u00bb en vez de dar la vuelta a la tortilla y hacer que el RAW sea el epicentro de todo y no el JPEG?<\/p>\n

This is a demand I have been making for a long time, and my students in digital capture courses know it well. Why don’t manufacturers do something that’s obvious? If the camera shoots in RAW, and that’s exactly what thousands and thousands of photographers around the globe use, why do they insist on giving us the JPEG histogram, even when we shoot ONLY in RAW?<\/p>\n

That doesn’t help us! They seem to be still living in the last century, when the first digital cameras were already offering the RAW but only as an \u00abadded feature as a gift\u00bb but almost without support, and with many drawbacks.<\/p>\n

Gentlemen manufacturers, this is 2018. The cameras have the computing power to display the histogram in RAW even in real time (let alone after shooting), and that’s what we want. How many more years will we have to wait\u00a0for you make it a reality?<\/p>\n

Why do they keep making cameras like film cameras, but with a sensor, and a RAW \u00abgift\u00bb instead of turning the tables and making the RAW the epicenter of everything and not the JPEG?<\/p>\n
